Last week we went to see Wicked so I finally fit in with all of the other bloggers out there who have blogged about Wicked. I am part of the club now. It was extremely good and I am trying to figure out how to go again asap. I used to get to see musicals more and in the last years haven't made the time. I need to make the time. It is so fun.
We went with my parents and sister Kaley and brother Landon. I want to take my kids. They know the story and have listened to the music a lot with me so I think they'd be into it. Are they too young still? Should I wait a few years? P.S. Galinda/Glinda was hilarious.

In a moment of insanity last week, I signed Dave and I up to run a 1/2 marathon in August.
This is a problem because I can only run 2.5 miles and haven't run more than that since, well, probably high school.
Also, I feel the same way my sister does (she blogged about it here), it is not natural for humans to run for 2 hours. It is going to hurt me and I don't feel confident about it. Also, what if I just want to quit training and give up? The $35 entry fee is not motivation enough to not quit. Maybe blogging about it will keep me going.
I'm excited though too. My dad, brother, 2 sisters-in-law, my sis and Dave are all running it with me. And I know Heavenly Father will be in the ring (race) with me (nacho libre quote).
One more thing: what if I laugh the whole time because I'm with my sister and we tend to laugh a lot once we're laughing about something. I think you need to be really serious during a 13 mile run and laughing might disrupt my pace and make me fall or quit. I'm hoping Dave can keep me on track and help me make it to the end. He's good at helping me when I am almost dying. One time we were in the ocean and I was tired of swimming and was almost drowning and he helped me back to shore. Now I'm rambling. Anyway, please motivate me and encourage me.
The last thing I want to talk about it the stupid swine flu. I don't believe in it and think it is ridiculous. And then tonight an elementary school in my school district declared it is closed for a week! WHAT?!? Is this thing real? And in my town? Now I feel a little weird and nervous. If my kids school closes I might die. It's just all too weird. I'm starting to actually feel a little freaked out. Tomorrow I am working in the nursery at church. There are lots of germs in the nursery. I might need to wear gloves and a mask. And make my kids wear them too.
Goodnight.
