This year Dave went to both girls camp and scout camp! Two weeks camping! It was a lot but he loved it. And the kids loved having him. And I was glad I didn't have to go although someday I'll want to do girls camp- everyone loves it and I loved it as a youth.
I don't have many pictures but here is what I have. Both Lexi and Logan have some great friends and wonderful leaders. I feel super blessed in that area. These camps are their favorite weeks of the year. Lexi got to do an overnight hike with her age group this year. It was a lot of hiking and hard work but worth it. I think Dave loves the week off and loves serving the kids up there and relaxing by the lake at times. And sleeping in his own tent. We sure missed them though!
I have almost no pictures of scout camp although I hear it was beautiful up there. Logan got a lot done and loved having 7 days with his dad and friends, shooting rifles, building fires and trying all kinds of new things. What a fun adventure for him it was.
The worst pic I was shown when he arrived home and apparently this happened on the first day... it was just a small head wound but it did freak me out! I'm glad he was ok and so glad Dave was there. Actually Logan's friend Mitch took his shirt off and used it to apply pressure and carried him up the beach to the leaders- some quick thinking and awesome scouting skills if you ask me!
