Today 9/6/14

Today was another busy Saturday. Our fall is always busy and sometimes I hate it but then I remember I only have myself to blame!

I went running with my running group this morning. Four miles and it felt good. 

Then we had two soccer games. I'm over soccer. Too bad my kids aren't. Luckily I have ms. entertainment with me at the games. Macey entertains Mack a lot! She's a great big sister. 

Then Dave and Lexi and Logan headed off to the youth beach trip. Dave just got called as scout master soooo yeah he'll be going to all the youth activities. Macey and Mack and I went to Maceys game and then came home and got ready for my photo session tonight. 

I took the kids to hang out with Brett and Emily and headed to Brentwood to do some senior portraits. It was fun because  I've known this kid since he was little and now he's all big and he has a fun car that we used and I got to chat with his awesome parents. So the day ended well. 

Dave and L&L still aren't home yet! I bet they had a great time. Tomorrow is Sunday. I teach the 14-18 year old Sunday school class and tomorrow the lesson is on love. Love thy neighbor as thyself. It should be a good one. 

And then just like that the weekend is over. Boo hoo.

Ps I got to have lunch with a favorite friend this weekend. So, so good to catch up with her!

PSS tonight I watched 19 kids and counting. Had never really watched much if it before and wow. Just wow. I have a lot of questions and feelings regarding this.

Some Other Happenings....

I just got all of the pictures off my phone onto my computer so... here we go.

Macey's legs are always covered in bruises and I think it's adorable.

Mothers day this year was so nice as always!  I'm so thankful for Dave and my kids for giving me this special day. 

Breakfast was so good as you can see below.  Then the kids all got in my bed and tried to make me feed them my food.  Then we snuggled for awhile and it was fun.

Dave and the kids are so into wrestling and sometimes even Penny gets in on it.  I always just watch and feel nervous that someone is going to get hurt....

We went to Lorie's Kentucky Derby party again this year- it is fun tradition!

I was excited because I never have time to get a good hat but Macey found these giant roses blooming in our yard and so we stuck one on my hat and it looked good.

Mack started swimming lessons.  It's a long story but I have learned a few things about him during these lessons:  he's really stubborn, and bossy, talks a ton and is not shy around strangers!  It always gives me a good laugh to watch him and he's doing great.

Macey cut quite a few inches off of her long hair... it's cute.

Logan got his cast on (have I blogged about his broken arm?? I hope so!) and yesterday he got the cast off.  We are relieved to find that he has grown new bone and everything in his wrist looks good.

It was a long 5 weeks but he actually surprised me and took care of himself and did a lot of things with that cast on that I didn't expect he would be able to do.  He didn't really have to rely on my for much and I'm proud of him.

Macey was supposed to dress up as a character from a book and she chose Edward Tulane (I love that book by the way).

Playing with the cousins in the front yard is always fun....

Our brentwood friends came over and we had to measure Henry and Lexi because they are the same age and have known eachother since age 4.... they are about tied for height!

Logan loved hanging with his buddy again...

Ok, most of the following photos were taken with my phone and I am now uploading them to my computer and putting them on the blog!  This is literally like 1/16th of what I have taken but seriously who wants to see every iphone photo I have?  Not me.  This is also an attempt to just throw up a blog post because it's been way too long.

I've been getting up at 5:45am 4 times a week to exercise.  It's the only time I can make it work.  Here's a shot I took on my way home one morning of the sunrise!

Lately whenever I go to check on the kids at night Logan is asleep with his headphones on... guess what he listens to every night?  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat- I love it!

Penny sleeps in Lexi's bed with her until about 11pm when we go to bed... then she goes in the crate.  It's pretty cute to see her cuddled up with Lexi.
