Maui- Other Stuff We Did (such a great title)

We explored the Ioa Needle... it is an old battle ground and burial site and also just a dense beautiful rainforest area... it was cool.

We also buried a treasure on the beach for our friends who are visiting the same place a few weeks after us!  I hope they can find it- it has a full stamped card for a free shave ice!

Lots of swimming of course...

We drove by the house that Dave and I stayed in on our honeymoon- it was fun to see it again- we had the best 2 week long honeymoon and getting to re-live it a little was super fun...

Macky had to play on Dad's phone alot when waiting for dinner... he's not great in restaurants yet.

One of our favorite restaurants we ate at was Hula Grill- yummt food, sand under your feet, live music and just a cool atmosphere.  A couple complimented our kids on their good behavior and about 2 minutes later Mack put his feet up on the table and kicked himself backward and crashed to the floor and made a huge scene... haha it was awesome.

He looks so wasted here.  The big kids could handle the less sleep and sun drenched days but Mack had a harder time and would often get super crazy in the evening when he was exhausted!

My favorite pictures from the trip are these that we took the night before we left.. I do wish the sun had been out but it's ok- it's still pretty.  We had such a great vacation... if we had been alone we definitely would have done some more adventures but we knew ahead of time this vacation would mainly be swimming and relaxing and that's what it was.  The kids loved it and watching them have such a great time made me happy!  Here's to more family vacations!  And soon!  Vacations are dangerous that way--- they make you want more.  Coming home is not fun but planning the next one will be.

So long Maui!  Mahalo!
