So yeah we went to Disneyland again. We can't help it- it's pretty fun! And our kids are at the best ages for it, in my opinion. So this will be our last trip for a looooong time so we lived it up. We didn't tell them we were going... we planned it very last minute but we packed everything up while they were asleep and in the morning stuck them in the car and left. They were so confused and then starting making guesses: texas, yosemite, mexico- so funny.
When we arrived we gave them their tickets and they were thrilled. The kids hit every single ride and I even did Tower of Terror (huge for me I hate those rides!). The kids did their pin trading and spent their own money buying pins. They love that. We got Lexi and Macey onto Splash Mountain which was great- they've been too scared of that one in the past. We loved the look of the new Cars land BUT we did not get to ride Radiator Springs due to fast passes selling out at 8am and the line being 3 hours long. No thank you.
The last day we hit a lot of rides doing the singles line- it is so much faster- and provided lots of laughs when Macey ended up on River Run alone in a boat with all "spanish speakers!" And Logan ended up in a boat with people cussing which he was not happy about. But hey- we all got to ride quickly so it was worth it! We also did Stroller pass a ton so between fast pass, stroller pass, and singles we got to ride everything as much as we wanted and rarely waited more than 10-15 minutes.
I enjoyed some churros and the dole pineapple whip so I was happy. Mack loved Pirates and Small World. Dave kept the kids out on the last night till Midnight and now that we are home, they are exhausted and Macey is sick... but we all agree it was still worth it.
I love getting away from home. Especially with this extra long summer we are having! School in Brentwood started yesterday but Walnut Creek doesn't start till end of August- we are not used to this but we are excited for some extra days in August!

That's neat that you got to ride everything.
I love that you just up and decided to go...and the kids guessed Mexico...funny.
I like your mosaics.
looks and sounds like such a fun trip! I still remember being in elementary school and having my parents surprise us one morning and just put us in the car to go to disneyland...it was seriously the best surprise ever as a kid! I'm sure your kids will always remember it! :)
Looks so much fun! I love all the pictures and the set up! I love how they guessed 'Texas' haha
