Macey turned seven last week. We had a little family dinner and celebration that night. She got a tent (that turned out to be waaay bigger than Dave and I thought it was!), a nano, a mermaid tail (my dream come true) and some other things and she was thrilled. The child has been talking about her birthday for months so we were all glad it finally came.

On the weekend we went ice skating for her birthday activity! That is definitely a perk to having a December birthday. Her uncles and aunts and grandma and grandpa came and it was a lot of fun. Please excuse the out of order pictures. It's Christmas and I shouldn't even be blogging right now.

Last year I didn't skate because I was pregnant. This year I didn't skate because I was taking care of Mack. Next year I am skating FO SHO!

Macey is a wonderful girl and I'm glad she's mine. She has endless amounts of energy and a go getter personality. She has a soft spot in her heart for others and likes to do nice things for people. Her teacher told me that she knows Macey will make the right choice even if no one else is... that made me glad. Parenting Macey is different than parenting my first two. She will be more challenging and she makes me have to come at things from another angle... but it's a good thing and I know we will learn and grow from eachother as the years go by.
